Overview

GrammaTech is a provider of cyber security software solutions and software research services solving some of the world’s most complex security problems. Our application security testing tools help customers deliver and deploy more secure software, faster. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced senior solutions architect to help us achieve our rapid growth targets. This technical contributor must have demonstrated experience selling to software development and security teams.

 

Location: North America.

Responsibilities

The solutions architect will have a mix of technical and business acumen with a global perspective. The solutions architect will work closely with all of GrammaTech account teams and partners and adds the technical perspective into the business relationships. The solution architect is a strong communicator and is able to build relationships of mutual respect with engineers working in the cyber security trenches as well as with the office of the CISO.

 

In a single day, the solution architect may introduce GrammaTech solutions to prospects across the globe, work with the customer’s cyber security team to review the results of a proof-of-concept, work with GrammaTech account teams and partners to strategize on upcoming engagements and perform a feature review with internal product management and engineering teams.

 

This role requires an individual with a strong security background that is focused on understanding customer business issues and that is excited about working in a strong team dedicated to building software solutions to address those issues.

 

This position will report to the Senior Director of Worldwide Sales.

 

A successful candidate will

  • Understand the cyber security challenges major enterprises face
  • Explore the business implications of those security challenges with customers and internal teams
  • Present GrammaTech vision, strategy and roadmaps to executives and cyber security managers
  • Map GrammaTech solutions to the customers’ needs and show their value proposition
  • Perform demonstrations and drive proof-of-concepts to demonstrate return-on-investment
  • Be the voice-of-the-customer with internal product development and product management teams
  • Travel globally as needed up to 50% depending on the customer need 

Qualifications

 

Requirements 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical software pre-sales role
  • Experience with positioning and selling security solutions in the enterprise and financial markets
  • Hands-on experience with software composition analysis desired
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven ability to work in a global context
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as in a team setting
  • Experience in process-driven sales methodology

 

Education

  • BA/BS is required. Advanced degree preferred. Computer Science or Engineering degree, a plus.
